Sleep

by Toni   Jan 12, 2006

Tears cascade in their familiar pattern
As I'm left to taste the doubt
It was always my very last resort
But now I see no other way out

You've got to get up; you've got to cope
The words resound in my mind
Its bitter, this taste, this taste in my mouth
But now I leave all senses behind

The edges are blurry, and all is unclear
As I'm starting to drift away
This morning I'm going back to sleep
Cos I just can't face today

So much is said, and yet its just short. not too short though, just right. perfect infact. the ending line is perfectly powerful and almost blunt too. but just not quite. brilliant. im starting to babble now lol. but yeah, fantastic, as always
