Onward into time

by Flying Phoenix   Jan 14, 2006

All these years on this earth
Staring through misty glass
Distorting my view so far
Of which to take
Of these known paths

Lying alone, I think, still troubled
Of times long gone now
Could I ever have known
That this was to be
Turned out how?

Did those words I speak
Affect so greatly on my life?
If I had not,
But I would not,
Could I now be a wife?

Did my actions
speak louder than words?
If I had listened,
Would I now understand?
How many mistakes
Turned around for my advantage?
How many moments,
Lost to my age?
But am I now trapped
Stuck in a cage?

Time continues
No thought of death or life
It gives
No conscience it has to worry
No time, it forgives

Through these endless seconds
ever passing in my years
My past now gone
So far, so long
Endless in my tears

Feel the sunlight
With the present time
Feel the need
For no reason nor rhyme
Ever on I seek
To the heart, through the deep
Onward into time
