Under These Waves

by Nella Heartbreaker.   Jan 14, 2006

Getting ready to catch the next wave. Out there. No one around. My family tanning on the sand. Here it comes. Hearing the smashing sound on waves. Smashing at the sand.

Pulling me under. Deep under the water. Where am I? screaming for help. Gasping for air. Getting pushed around by the current. My head hits a rock. Everything stops for a second. Knocked out. So confused. Lost in this ocean. Why isn't anyone coming to save me? Like in the movies. Whats wrong? Where am I?

Lying on the sand. People all around me. Am I OK? Wondering how long I was out there. People making sure I'm OK. I tell them I'm fine and I think I will get over it.

Four years later. Here I am. Fine as can be. I learned my lesson, never go surfing again. My head is fine. Just terrified of the oceans waters. What if it happens in the future?

*this did really happen. my head did get hurt and now i'm fine. and i never ever go to the beach and go in the ocean. i go to the ocean and watch my little brother and his friends play in the water.**
