Burning Wolf

by AGirlWorthFightingFor   Jan 15, 2006

Wolves have a bad reputation
The lone stray dominates perception
The leering predators pick off the weak
I'm hear to represent until wolves speak

Race across the landscape
Burning desire
The pack lives for the chase
Until the day we expire

Family comes first, loyal indeed
Noble and true burdened beasts
Love beyond measure, nurturing too
Calm under pressure, how about you?

Heavy fur coat of matted gray silver
Razor sharp teeth, destined a killer
Large padded feet emblazon the ground
Throw back your head, turn up the sound

Howl for the laughter, the rage, & the tears
The burn to feel something unbearably near
Ask me why I continue to fan canine flame
I'll say it again, Burning Wolf is my name
