Those Eyes

by myxlittlexcut   Jan 19, 2006

Looking into those eyes
-so emotionless and blank-
and seeing only pain,
is more then I can take.

Through those eyes I see
straight into your soul,
along with your bleeding heart,
that's longing to be whole.

Now they're blurred with tears
-those eyes into which I stare-
shimmering drops of loneliness,
sick of no one who cares.

Staring back at me,
your eyes begin to plead.
Begging me to save you
-to hold you when you bleed.

But even though I tried,
your eyes still closed for good.
I tried to be your superman,
and did everything I could.

But all the love I gave
couldn't take the sadness from your eye.
so now they're forever closed
... but you never said goodbye.
