Long, Lonely, Agonizing Nights

by Crystal   Jan 19, 2006

No body really knows her pain
All she really feels like doing is locking herself away
She lays her head on a tear stained pillow,
Wraps herself in crimson stained sheets
To face another night exactly the same.
Kept under her pillow a shiny silver blade
Tear filled eyes hesitant to close
Knowing the nightmares this night beholds
Knowing the monsters that she is to face.
A long deep cut soon forms on her wrist,
The blood to flow, pour out onto its surroundings,
Staining what ever it touches, sets her free
Braces her for this long, lonely and agonizing night
Only to face the day she fears for,
Each and everyday that comes, she wishes for no more.
The face she puts on, the smiles she fakes,
The people who say they care never really do
The beatings and put downs
No wonder this girl hides her frowns.
Black the only color she seems to own
Scars that cant be seen, she hides them with all her mite
If you never see you’ll never know. Right?
Her heart so broken, her tears begin again
This marks the beginning of another one of those nights.
