I See a Girl

by Tricia   Jan 19, 2006

I see a girl who wants to be happy,
All she wants is love.
She has all the friends she could want.
But she can hardly earn their trust.

I see a girl who wants acceptance.
To be the one who's needed.
She has the looks from what they say,
You would think she has succeeded.

I see a girl who is lonely,
Her heart is so sore.
Every time she loses a friend,
Her knees drop to the floor.

I see a girl who looks in a mirror,
She just wants to be happy.
As I stare at the solemn girl,
I realize that this girl is me.

Your poem is awesome, I can see myself in your poem and if you changed all the "her" to him, I can see my son in your poem. Excellent job!
