City of The East

by David R Merry   Jan 19, 2006

From this city, of which we belong,
Comes an army, three million strong,
From one to another, each is a brother,
Solving their problems, no trouble is bother!

The City in mention, is London East,
With immigrant population, who share our streets,
With them they bring, their foods from abroad,
Which mostly they sell, from takeaway stores!

Under the bridge, at Bow Church Bow,
Stands the monument, of East End Folk,
When the Church bells ring, the birth of a Child,
The Cockney title, is given and filed!

But south of the river, on the other hand,
Are the Kings and Queens, of Purley Land,
Also East London, but south of The Tower,
Over The Crown Dale, The Crystal Flower!
