A Challenge Fulfilled

by Flying Phoenix   Jan 20, 2006

Feel the warmth of your friend
As they hold you in an embrace
Long awaited that touch
That loneliness did replace
Journeyed from afar
Yet not across land
Through your mind you have travelled
To where you now do stand
Aged you have now
Not through years, but wisdom
Learning great respect
And honour for this kingdom
Creating peace
Through a place raked by war
Is no mean feat
But you completed it, and saw
The rewards of selflessness
Are to large to even dream
The well being you feel
And accomplishment you deem
You took up a challenge
That no other could do
And fulfilled it incredibly more
Than any thought you could do
So I thank you my friend
For being there throughout
I shall love you forever
And that is without doubt
