The Dirt and the Hole

by Amelia   Jan 22, 2006

The question is, "Is there dirt in a hole?"
A raging argument about a stupid little hole!
Some say, "Dirt in a hole,"
But I say, "A hole in the dirt."
Yes, there is dirt.
But all dirt is ground,
No dirt is air.
Without the dirt the hole cannot be,
Dirt in the bottom is a technicality, don't you see?
I'm not choosing sides I swear!
But...there is no dirt in there!
What if there was a bottomless pit,
Would you still think there was dirt in it?
Ha! Now I can see the gears turning,
You see my point, now you're learning!
If you'll still argue with me about this fact,
Then go dig a hole yourself, how about that?!
