A Mistake

by Lance Hardy   Jan 25, 2006

Its not hard to believe
That we all make mistakes
But the one that Ive made
Has made life hard to take

I did something dumb
I threw someone away
And later, it hit me
That my love still stayed

I thought it was for better
But it turned out for worse
How could it all have been
If that one day, I did the reverse

For what I did to her
In my silly, immature youth
We went out on the worst of terms
But she never knew the truth

I had just been afraid
Of what we couldve been
I cant even handle now
What I couldnt handle then

All I can say is sorry
For always making you cry
And when I said I didnt love you
I'm sorry, but I lied

Strange to think that there are only two people in this world who know what this poem is about...

Good. I'd make the last line a bit longer just to keep the rhythm going. WTF is this poem talking about? Who is this person?
