They Say

by Cuddles   Jan 26, 2006

They say we're perfect for each other,
that he looks at me in a special way.
They say there's something going on between us,
but we deny all accusations and say nay.

"We're just friends," we tell them.
They say that it's a lie.
We laugh to ease the guilty knots from our throats,
and from me escapes a small sigh.

They say we act as if we're together,
but we won't own up to it.
If we pretend we're only friends then we avoid complications.
They don't know when to quit.

They still say we're perfect for each other.
We still deny all accusations and say nay.
We know we're lying, but we won't admit it.
Love's kind of funny that way.

Many beautiful frendships end up as romantic love affairs. This was a delightsul read, it seems that a beautiful friendship is begining to blossom into a beautiful romance.

    Warmest regards,
