Dark Skies

Darkened skies fall down upon me,
Angelic tears rain on my skin,
Into the night my heartache leads me,
And I fall to my knees and cry within.

Surpass the pain and cover the scars,
Let no one know the fear I hold inside.
The darkest nights I've slept alone,
My mind is wondering for a place to hide.

I hold myself and wither away slowly,
I become invisible and you no longer see,
Everything that I have is nothing to you,
But all that I am is all that I can be.

Dark skies sink down into my soul,
I can't hold on anymore or hide the scars,
I'm falling apart at the seams,
My soul is scattered like twinkling stars.
