Seasons

by Anna   Jan 27, 2006

Springtime fades to summer,
And summer turns to fall.
Knowing what we could've had,
I have no care at all.
Flowers bloom and blossom,
Waves turn with shades of blue.
Summertime is paradise,
And i still think of you.

Fall will bring the colored leaves,
And the winds will pick up speed.
Taking this time to search my thoughts,
And i know you're all i need.

Winter is the loneliest time,
No sun, no warmth, all tears.
Why can't winter be the shortest one,
Instead of one that lasts for years.

Winter was our time together,
The snow falling softly on the ground.
Having you hold me close to you,
Feeling your warmth all around.

Who will light my day again,
Who will bring my springtime back.
And what I've learned from all of this,
Once you give your heart you can't get it back

I miss my springtimes breezes,
The coolness of a summer's rain.
Both of us getting drenched and wet,
But now I'm only drenched in pain.
Four seasons fade throughout the year,
And only one breaks my heart.
Remembering how you kept me warm,
I fell in love right from the start.

Springtime turns to summer,
And summer fades to fall.
Golden leaves turn to snow,
Yet anymore I don't care at all
