Crying

by gasping for air   Jan 31, 2006

I can't cry anymore,
I won't cry anymore,
I can't let them fall,
I won't let them fall,
I'm tired of crying,
I'm sick of crying,
No more...

She pulls the blade across her skin,
Revelling in the pain,
In the blood she sees seep from her skin,
The knot in her throat goes away,
As she pulls it again,
She pushes that feeling away,
She tells herself no more,
Never again.

I can't cry anymore,
I won't cry anymore,
I can't let them fall,
I won't let them fall,
I'm tired of crying,
I'm sick of crying,
No more...

Letting herself sink in the pain,
She looked at her arms,
At the scars,
The permanent reminders of the hurt,
And thought of the stares she got,
When they saw her wrists,
The looks of damnation,
The looks of pity,
Screaming out,
She ran to the bathroom,
Looking into the mirror,
Feeling that hateful thing,
Well up in her throat.

I can't cry anymore,
I won't cry anymore,
I can't let them fall,
I won't let them fall,
I'm tired of crying,
I'm sick of crying,
No more...

Still screaming,
She punched the mirror on that wall,
Breaking it into a million pieces,
Hating herself,
Hating them,
Hating God,
She scrambled through a cabinet,
For those pills,
The ones she hid,
Just in case,
Tired of it all,
She took the whole bottle,
And felt no more.

I can't cry anymore,
I won't cry anymore,
I can't let them fall,
I won't let them fall,
I'm tired of crying,
I'm sick of crying,
No more...
