The Beach

by Taylor Anderson   Feb 1, 2006

Splash on the sands of a sunny beach, just off the town of suicide where everything went crashing down...

Remember the good times, and play innocently in the sands of broken and lost hearts...

Sigh, as love passes you by and hopes just fade away with the gentle breeze...

As the water trickles between your toes
You laugh as your tears reach the shore
And memories crash like waves...

The sun beats hard on your broken heart,
As you burn and fade away
And your hate goes with you...

I'm adoring the opening lines, truly beyond words.
I do feel you could have elaborated on this, but it is beautiful in it's simplicity.
    Take care~Holly

Wow, now you just made it so I can't have a long comment. I really needed to chastise you for the length. Three lines, not even stanzas or verses. Lol, anyways, I think I understand the meaning of this a little bit, and I really enjoy the poem. Please work on it a bit more, to fit in more lines, I would really enjoy that.

I read the poem over and over, I don't know how many times.

    Thank you for your contribution,
    Please continue to write poems.
