The Broken One

by Taylor Anderson   Feb 23, 2006

Wish me luck as I go down alone

I wish things could have been just a little better

The fight I fought is over,
But it was only a fight.

My heart goes out to you, the broken one
The child with nowhere left to go

I have only my heart left, a tiny haven
You are on the dark streets, wishing for a better day

I could have had you
You could have me
We could have been perfect
But now we are gone

Our souls lost with the rain that pounds on your face
You hide your sorrow with a smile

I fall silently in the tears that you never cried
Waiting for the darkness that I gave in to so long ago

Oh, I wish I hadn't tripped
Now I'm crying
So hard, so silent.
Left only with a wish
Of you, the broken one

I respect your pain, and the lesson learned in the subject of the poem. unfortunately, for me, the poem didnt flow, it was kind of choppy. keep writing. the importnat thing is that you have an out for your feelings.
