When tomorow comes

by Newbie   Feb 3, 2006

When Tomorrow comes
With my troubles gone
I will fly away
At the break of dawn
In deepest of seas
And highest of skies
That's where I shall be
That's where I shall lie

Asleep in a dream
So wondrous so sweet
Where it is the day
That we two would meet
Bring me my conscience
Awake me to fly
Let sunlight shine through
My withering eyes

A life without my
Tomorrow shall be
As dark as the night
That no one shall see
I long for my dear
Tomorrow to know
Where ever I step
So she too may go

And follow me till
The end of the age
Till we are all done
On life's weary stage
A spirit too scared
So eager yet shy
Too weak to declare
If not I shall die

Of fear and regret
So anxious to say
To spill my heart out
Yet to my dismay
Things never happen
The way that I want
My dear Tomorrow
No more than a taunt

But taunt all it likes
For I am too blind
To see the bare truth
That's laid out so kind
I don't mind at all
That I am too dumb
To stop hoping for
Tomorrow to come

I had not a hope
From the very start
Yet I've come to this
Not wanting to part

Though I had no chance
I do wish I do
For if it was so
I would feel anew
But now I shall hide
Myself in this poem
Till my Tomorrow
Shall carry me home

-----PS. also. i turned this into a song.

I like what you are saying but I think parts didnt flow right ... Especially the third stanza it just kinda broke and went to the next line. Yousaid you made into a song and that might work better for that then a poem cause the breaks dont fit. Good job though
