For the final time.

by Newbie   May 21, 2006

The glint of light from the rising sun
shows us all, when the day\'s begun
the soft air breeze, blowing gently through
the wrinkling water and the ocean blue

i feel the warmth, raining down to me
from the heavenly skies to the fathoms of sea
i stare at the water, as clear as glass
and wonder how great, and for how long this will last

just like the forests, the marshes and swamps
one day, this too will be destroyed by us man
and in its place, we will endlessly build
buildings as tall as mountains and hills

for the final time with my nose to the leaves
I smell the sweet pine trees lined up so neat
And savor the moment for as long as it lasts
And pray for this beautiful place so holy and vast
