Before Dawn

by The Wingless   Feb 4, 2006

Even this city is sleeping now,
Between yesterday and now,
Something is changing,
I should be able to try again,
After all I am not alone,
Yet I can't.

How farther can we go,
To this place that extends,
To the future,
Shining up ahead, embracing the world,
All before Dawn

I couldn't wait for the light to change,
So I drove on through,
The more painful the memory,
The better you like to forget it,
I wish you always watch as I go,
Without hesitation.

I felt you sadness,
Even though you didn't say it,
You stayed with me,
Without any questions,
Before Dawn.

As If I could become a bird,
With giant wings.

I would wonder how far,
I could go,
To this place,
That extends,
To the future,
Before Dawn.
