A Cinderella Love

by The Wingless   Feb 4, 2006

It was close to midnight,
The conversations ceased,
Hands detached themselves.

Like Cinderella's love,
Cease as time,
All things that tell time please,
Stay awake until dawn.

After the sound,
Of the midnight bell,
There was an aftertaste,
Similar to the one,
When you're waken from a dream.
Only sadness remained.

But like Cinderella's love,
If it was thrown into high waters.

My own heart was broken,
Please stay awake until dawn.
