Here for Her

by Ash LEIGH   Feb 5, 2006

Her head rests on my shoulder
as I rock her to sleep
After crying for a couple hours
she finally makes no peep

Some days it can be overwhelming
and some nights it can be too
but looking into her sparkling eyes
feels like the future holds us two

her tiny toes and her tiny hands
trace a circle around my heart
it would break and bleed forever
if ever we are apart

sleepless nights have come and gone
and smiles can do the same
a magical feeling as I hold her close
bringing her into this world I feel no shame

I promise her my life
and my happiness and tears
and I will always be here for her
to take away her fears.
