A man

by Alexis   Feb 6, 2006

Peace that consumes ,
Hope that overflows
Words that speak , promises that keep
Sacrifice that hurt , blood that flowed
Nails that pierced , thorns that drove
Whips that cracked, guards that laughed
Wounds that bled, Tears were shed
A cross was built , the crown was placed
the Son of God was disgraced
A man, he hung , he took my place
So full of shame so full of grace
A man who died who hung for me
full of shame on a tree
An innocent man ,
hung in a sinners places
A man who died, to give amazing grace
