Covering sea

by Morning   Feb 8, 2006

Sadness reaches within defiant grasps
And smothers whom ever it traps
Twisting and covering, hiding light
Replacing with darkness and fright
Sheltering the evil and its witness
The world seems dim and listless

Corrupting the face of good
Questioning what not and what should
Crossing the boundaries of good and bad
Forming lies that you shouldn't have

Depression slowly pulling you farther under
Breathing starts to sound like thunder
Short breathes of uneasiness tower
Drowning as you start to cower

Blue and dark waves crash about your vision
As you start to dream in this prison
Tugging at your heart and soul
Going under in this deep blue pool

Transparent waters cloud your eyes
As the sky and land say goodbyes
Murky sand starts to grab your feet
The sea is chilling, there is no heat

Sinking farther into this lonely pain
You scream for help with nothing to gain
Silent cries weep to escape
As your depression is hidden by a watery cape
