Evils of Depression

by Jessica Dygos   Feb 9, 2006

Each piece reveals a secret
A secret needing the hold
Like the ones deep down in your heart
That will never be told
Anguish is a harsh feeling
Every lie makes it worse
The soul starts to fade
Silence becomes part of life
The voice begins to lower
As if the distance begins to increase
Deep desires become necessity
Dark thoughts seem so right
Wants and needs
Begin to grow stronger
Pills seem like Skittles
Heart seems so blackened
Yet just the surface layer
Inside is full of love and good memories
Only being denied, destroyed
By the hurtful neglection
From family, friends, lovers, own self passion
Begins to close in
Letting nothing in
Faces all seem the same
The world becomes dark
