Goodbye.. Im taking my last bow.

by Bertha   Feb 10, 2006

This used to be my home..
But now its a place I dont know..

Nobody cares.

We cant spend time together-
Cause it always ends in misery.

I try to make you proud, mom and dad..
I dont know what I can do.
I try to hold it in sometimes,
But the emotions are too much, too

All the screaming is way too much-
I need to get away.
But nobody is listening
To what I have to say.
I need to get away from here,
No time is sooner than now.
So goodbye, my "loving family"
Im taking my last bow.

Great peice, this is very well written and descriptive. there is a line which i had a little bit of difficulty with "But the emotions are too much, too" i think there may be a gramatical error in there.. but not entirly sure how to fix it.

    anyway good peice

Oh yeah, yeah me and Emma have been e-mailing back and forth. She's helping me out a lot! (I hope I'm doing the same for her!) And if you ever need to talk...just tell me. I'll give you my e-mail or Emma can!

I loved the ending! So emotional. So many families are like that. I love the cover of one of Marylin Manson's cd's. A portrait of the American Family. I think that's what it's called. Your poem reminded me of that.
