Living In Her Lie

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Feb 12, 2006

A different person than what the world sees her ...
Alone, she sets herself free
Nobody's perfect
And nobody is only one person
At least she admits it
Not lying to herself
Without warning or caution
Without hesitation
Her other side emerges
Taking over her body, mind, soul
Doesn't even know who this other person is,
This stranger within herself
Trying to escape the emotions that drown her
Trying to avoid his eyes
Because she knows that, unlike her heart,
Her eyes can't lie
But her lies backfire
And once again she is caught
Everybody believing she's who she isn't
Soon,
She was in too deep to go back to who she
Used to be
Too far to return to her comfort zone
She's too far-gone
No escape
No release
And no turning back
