I can't believe we went down this road,
with nothing but hatred and immaturity to show.
We had a very beautiful child together,
you said you'd always be there, you promised FoReVeR!!!

But now it looks as if FoReVeR was short lived,
and now I'm left raising our kid.
I thought that for us you'd be strong,
let me tell you, I could never have been more wrong.

We had our rough times, more bad then good,
we've hurt each other more then I thought we ever could.
But when it's all said and done,
I would still like to thank you for our beautiful son.

I don't know what happens after all this,
But I do know that all the good times I will truly miss.
I never thought this would hurt so much,
But thank you... for my life you have truly touched.

I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you,
I'm sorry I didn't do all the things you wanted me to.
In life we listen, learn, and grow wise,
But I know in my heart that I truly tried.

So to you, a father, I wish you the best,
because for you I would expect nothing less.
Just know that you are kindhearted in many ways,
But i guess that wasn't enough to make me want to stay.
