Our ship, through the darkened seas it lurch For lost treasure and gold we travel in search Plundering and thieving and not giving back We wreck and we pillage and we ransack Against the raging waters we attack and we fight We toil through the day as well as thought the night Our lust for gold is a never ending craving We travel the decks screaming and raving We steal from the rich, but don't give to the poor The more treasure we get, the more we want more We bargain and banter, we steal and cheat People with money we most like to meet Our lives revolve around finding gold We scream with glee as it fills our hold We drink all the rum, and dance and sing Being a wanted criminal, oh what joy it brings The lawmen tell us, pirates ye be warned At these feeble attempts we laugh and we scorn They cannot catch us, we're above the law We're the best thieves they ever saw As wind fills the sails, we throw caution to the wind They will never find us, we can never be pinned Our very souls, our beings, are on the open sea Yeah, this is the life, a pirates life for me
