Forever Cold

by free fall   Feb 14, 2006

This darkness which consumes
Now has me by the hand
The voice, it sounds so sweet
Sounds of far away lands

The grip is slowly tightening
Beckons me, "Come here."
I take a step toward
With not a hint of fear

The light left seems to flicker
Darkness starts to rise
"Come with me away from here,
From this life of hurt and lies."

Weakly I do follow
Away from all i know
Away from all i love
For now, for ever, cold

I really did like this poem, but part of me thinks that it belongs more in Dark poems.

    Keep writing, it's awesome
