18

In these past few months,
Seldom were our reunions,
That fact has only served
To strengthen my love for you.
I have found that even though we are apart,
I have no desire, but that for you.
I miss you, more than my family,
I need you, more than the oxygen I breathe,
But I have been holding my breathe in anticipation,
Of when we shall meet again.

You are another year older,
But not just any year, the year.
Now an adult, you can make decisions of your own,
As an adult I have made a very important decision,
That I will never regret, and that has made me so happy.
I have decided to love you, and in this decision
I know I am fully satisfied.

In every prayer I hail God in your name,
To keep you and protect you,
In selfish ends I admit,
For I am not willing to share,
I want you all for myself.

So after eighteen years of life,
I would say you have done very well for yourself,
You are smart, kind, loving, healthy, and beautiful.
What more could a lover ask for.
