Core of My Heart

by Shan   Feb 16, 2006

The pain is all I feel.
I just can't stop shaking.
The tears are free to fall.
I'm done with this life I've been faking.

My heart is screaming louder,
Than any of my cries.
This pain is so foreign.
So hurt from all these lies.

Can you hear me screaming?
Does it bring you pain?
The misery you've caused me,
Is shooting through every single vein.

Search my soul until you find,
The secrets stored away.
The cries hidden behind walls,
Words silenced from what they want to say.

Break me down further,
Until the truth is revealed.
Bloody tears are falling,
Until the cuts are healed.

I dig my nails into my palm.
Even my blood is cold.
I dont want a shoulder to cry on.
Nor another hand to hold.

Illusions are distracting me.
Pain too much to be real.
My heart won't stop breaking.
Feeling to much to feel.

The truth is out,
After being held in for so long.
The anger too immense to handle.
The torture striving strong.

Cut the truth into pieces.
Pull me apart.
Until you come to see.
The Core of My Heart.
