I'm Trying... --Not True--

I've noticed your man's actions,
And from your cheek falls a tear,
It brakes me deeply to see you,
Believing I'll complete your fear.

I notice your man's words to me,
And the way he carefully stares,
As I start to feel uncomfortable,
Because for you I truly care.

I stand up from the seat and leave,
I don't want him to do this anymore,
Although I swore not to fall in temptation,
I don't think I'll stand it for more.

I don't want to feel something for him,
Because I know I'll cause you pain,
I don't want to make you suffer,
I don't want to have to explain.

I don't want to see you pour more tears,
I swore I wouldn't make you cry,
And even if it is so difficult for me,
I wont give into temptation, I will try.

Please forgive me, I'm trying to do my best,
I don't want to make you stare at the knife,
I'm trying to drown this feeling that grows,
I'm trying not to let it get inside...
