Remember me

by Grace   Feb 17, 2006

This bittersweet taste in my mouth,
leaves reminiscent memories that stick with me forever.
The smell of the Turkish Silvers,
the scent you of you comes back to me,
haunts me,
the ghost of you is taking over me.

Remember me,
when your cold and lonely.
How I wrapped you up so tight in my arms.
Remember me,
when the wax slides down the stick,
and you see reflections of yourself,
looking into those of the ones you once loved.
Remember me,
when you see the stains left on your carpet,
from nights of running, playing, hugging, kissing, loving, fighting.
Remember me,
when you stumble upon images,
that you've tried so hard to forget.
Remember me,
when you look into someone else,
and they don't look back.

As for me,
I'm still trying to forget,
First times and heartaches.
Nights of crying,
have now turned into nights of dying.
When I lay there at night,
and look over,
I find emptiness,
in all its beauty.
