Picture Perfect

I wonder how they do it
How they get so god damn thin.
They've got it all, I swear it's insane
What they do should be a sin

I soon discovered their secret
It seemed so clear to me now
All this time I've been thinking
Of when, where, why and how.

She told me in my dreams
That I wouldn't have to eat
I knew it would be really hard
So I made sure I wouldn't cheat

I still wasn't thin enough
I need to look like her
Just a little more, I said
And it'll all be over for sure

A friend soon became suspicious
And talked to my mother about me
I tried to tell her that I'm fat
Why couldn't she just see!?

Soon, I became a stick
I couldn't even walk
I had to strength to think at all
Not even, hear or talk

I soon died at the age of 17
Next to the girl I wanted to be
She was picture perfect
Nothing at all like me
