Reflection

*Reflection*

She turned to look around the corner,
when she heard a scream,
piercing through her ears.

Creeping closer a little girl,
Who looked as if,
she had a million fears.

Her dark crimson hair,
was draped around her shoulders,
A white smudged up dress,
with lace creating borders.

As I walked to try to hold her,
I saw the tears that fell,
Once I reached my arms out far,
She pushed me back, to fall.

Closing my eyes I counted to ten,
maybe this was a nightmare,
soon it would have to end.

I opened my eyes,
to see the little girl,
but now she looked scary.

She creped up closer,
as I asked who she was,
But then I turned around to see,
A reflection in the mirror.

The reflection that held all the answers,
Seemed a tad bit crazy
because the only thing I'd come to see,
was that the reflection was me.
