Different Now

Best friends since 7th grade
and sophomores in high school now
wishing she could tell him
but she just doesn't know how

things are so different
since he's found a girlfriend
she feels so replaced now
like their friendship will end

she's never looked at him
through these eyes before
the eyes of a young girl in love
she doesn't want to be just friends anymore

she wonders where he is
and he's always on her mind
but that he's with his girlfriend
she always comes to find

she use to be the only girl in his life
they've been through so much
she knows things have changed
and she longs for his touch

she smiles from just seeing him
but she can't figure out how
to tell him everything she feels
and that things are different now
