Gears of a Clock

by Cory Mastrandrea   Feb 20, 2006

Just the two of us can be quite romantic
no beating hearts need to be frantic
just knowing glances and quite simple dances
no words are spoken while days are left open
to spend time together watching the weather
softer than murmers but heard through the crowd
the silence of love not very loud
like the gears of a clock keeping hands on tick-tock
known to be present never a thought spent

Very unique, much like all your poetry. I adore the last four lines, beautifully conveyed.
Take care and keep it up~Holly
