What to Write?

by Cory Mastrandrea   Mar 18, 2006

What to write?
It's the most base, simplistic question that seems almost unecessary
It's like asking how should I feel?
or do, does
How do I feel? How does one feel?
These questions never need to be asked only answered but not outloud
one has already answered before asking
No need to ask what to write
writer's block doesn't exist
As if the human spectrum of emotions stops before the breath
Or the brain (mind) shuts off while sleeping
Don't ideas convey in dreams and nothingness
Writer's block doesn't exist
As of this moment I need to finish two short stories, a novel, and countless rough drafts
What to write?
it can be complex and dumbfounding
full of wisdom and ambiguity
but never worth asking, not outloud.

I love this poem. I also love poems about writing, and I especially love poems about writing poems and all that stuff. It's cool. I lvoe your message in this and I was actually just thinking about that the other day.
    Great Job!

    "It's the most base"
Firstly, do you mean basic? Or am I just being a silly duffer?

I'm sure you 'thought' you were suffering from 'writers block' however found poetry in it. Therefor you wrote that there is no such thing as writers block, as there is no such thing as ideas that stop processing. I like it, I've done a simular thing, making a poem that insists that the imagination is endless and that we can all delve deep inside to find even the most brilliant work.

This poem was thought-provoking, your use of ambiguous language was good- I had to reread most lines to get the powerful meanings they convey.

You have written something very witty with this. Good work. I love your work, you've uniquely developed yourself on this site.
