By the Blade of a knife

by Brittany   Feb 21, 2006

Close your eyes,
take a breath,
listen to me,
I'm calling death.

Hear my heart,
beat out my pain,
the constant pounding,
like winter rain.

The rushing of my blood,
is soothing,
can't you see?
my knife is moving.

Deeper it goes,
with every slice,
look at my wrist,
as i continue to dice.

Soon my blood,
is almost gone,
death is here,
I'm almost done.

One more slash,
is all it takes,
I steady my hand,
no room for mistakes.

My blade is deep,
within my flesh,
my body weeps,
torn open fresh.

My mind goes dark,
my hands are cold,
I know it's over
when death takes hold.

Now I'm dead
my life is done,
but taking it,
was so much fun.
