Our Little Secret

by Cuddles   Feb 21, 2006

"No one has to know
what happens in here today.
It'll be our little secret.
Let's keep it that way."

He would always tell her that,
and she would always keep quiet.
No one had to know what daddy did.
Besides, she didn't want to get hit.

She knew better than to anger her daddy.
That wouldn't be very smart.
He would only hurt her more,
making sure he left his mark.

So she would lie on her bed, softly weeping,
while her daddy did bad things to her.
And when at last he left her alone
she'd watch the wall become a blur.

Then one day her mind snapped
and a knife she did take.
Into her daddy's chest she did plunge it
and left him lying in a blood lake.

"Daddy, no one has to know
what happened in here today.
It'll be our little secret.
I promise to keep it that way."
