Midwinters night sky

by jovert   Feb 22, 2006

On this midwinters night i look at the sky,
looking up from my car hood where i lie.
thinking and wishing for the one person that matters most,
sitting in this park, under the dimmed light post

the stars are shining the moon is out,
such low noise of small animals scurrying about.
though the night is perfect theres one thing missing,
its missing you, the one i want to be hugging and kissing.

my life cant be perfect unless youre lying here with me,
youre the only person that matters in my eyes, cant you see??
i tell you i love you, but you cant understand how,
well listen up, because im going to tell you right now.

i love you because youre pretty and sweet,
you know exactly what to say to knock me off my feet.
you understand the way i think and feel,
and you dont judge me no matter what the deal.

you see me for everything that noone else takes the time to see,
you took the time to know me before you passed judgement on me.
you know how to make me smile with just a glimpse of your face,
you can always cheer me up no matter what the case.

you light up my day just hearing your voice,
and i love you because you wouldnt give me up given the choice.
i love you mainly because you really do love me,
and thats something in my life i thought id never see.

so now i look up at the stars twinkling in the sky,
they remind me of the beauty everytime i look into your eyes.
you are my angel filled with starlit beauty and grace,
and i cant help but smile when i think and see your gorgeous face.
