Voices of shadows

by jovert   Feb 25, 2006

Sit up late at night,
Just looking at the dim moonlight.
Shadows slowly begin to fill my mind,
There seem to be shadows of every kind.

Shadows of truth, shadows of lies,
Shadows of wisdom, shadows of despise.
They try to whisper something, what could it be?
I try to make it out, but it all seems too difficult for me.

I hear words which seem to make no sense at all,
I keep listening as their voices slowly begin to fall.
These shadows are silent, I dont know what to do,
I cant even assure myself right now that this was all true.

Maybe it was warning, something they wanted to show,
But it remains a mystery which no one will ever know.
I sit anxiously waiting to see this brand new day,
Maybe it will reveil what the shadows were trying to say.

Maybe it will come in time, yes, i shall wait and see,
I shall wait to see what this life has to reveil to me.
I now understand that life is full of mystery and wait,
So I shall leave my life in the hands of fate.

Steer me well my dear and trustiong friend,
And be sure not to lead me into a life of make pretend.
I shall never forget those voices which i heard inside my head,
And I shall always try to decipher what they all said.

But life is a mystery, it was made to be so,
You have to move a long, unsure of what it may show.
Maybe one day I shall discover what the shadows were trying to say,
But until I do, I will enjoy this life day after day.
