Winter Night

by The Wingless   Feb 23, 2006

A funny little smell,
Pollutes the wind,
Flutters in the breeze,
You, the candle,
Burned out,
And are no longer here.
You left me in the cold,
An eternal winter night,
Snowflakes fall down.

Loneliness and,
Loneliness,
A traveler and,
A wanderer,
In the eternal winter,
Came a simple little summer,
That warmed the world,
And even hands,
As the cold wind sighed.

I wish,
That I could have given,
More than I took,
Look somewhere in the sky,
And find me there,
I have a present for you.

Loneliness and,
Loneliness,
It was parting that was long,
From the time it took,
The the time it didn't,
Believing I can,
Find you again,
I wander,
In the cold winter night.

um..this poem, i find really depressing. im not sure if you set it to be like that, but wow.
The slight cryptic type of writing keeps me enthralled to the very last word.
i guess something to keep close to you on those lonely, cold nights, your heart, ur soul. dont let anyone take that form you.
Great poem Mike..well done.. top points:P
    lots of luv xoxo
