Friendship Is Forever

Your name may slip from my mind.
Your face may slowly drift away.
Just know that I will always remember.
I had a friend like you.

This is not a lie.
It is truth of my friendship.
We may lose contact over the years.
Never again see the other's face.

This doesn't matter because we will always know.
That one point in time we had a friendship that was true.
For you were there through good and bad.
We have had our fights but that doesn't change a thing.

Friendship is more than someone who is near by.
More than just you and I.
Its Strong and true feeding off love.
A never ending strength in our eternal bound.

It's a simple hello when someone is blue.
A little note saying you care.
A hug in times of great despair.

Just know that even though we may forget.
We will always remember.
There once was someone there.
The name has been forgotten, the face is unknown.
But this person was my friend, this I know.

    I thought this was a very nice dedication to your friend. It reminded me of my best friend. We lost contact as she had to move but anytime she comes back for a visit I am the first she calls. It can be tough to be seperated from a freindship this close but you have nicely conveyed te feeling of a true friendship. Well done!

    Message clear, even more if you could edit out those site signs for the word other's. Your poem starte stronger and showed frendship as it should be.
