School Poem

by And smiles hide everything   Feb 28, 2006

She looked out the window
Tears rolled down her face.
Her clothes were ripped and torn
Her hair such a disgrace.
Mascara streaks down her cheeks
Red puffy eyes from crying.
Such a lonely Saturday
Where pouring rain is all she sees.
Cold and dark is the sky
Although she is homeless
She tries to stay dry.
Long bus rides she takes
Every night to keep her safe.
Begging for money on the streets
Different people everyday she meets.
Hoping one day to find her way
In this world full of disarray.
