Sorrow of Parting

by The Wingless   Feb 28, 2006

In the middle of my mind
Such a big parade
Footsteps ring
But scarlet lights blind me

Fast dreams
Quickly slip away
Fly away like confetti
From the ones I once had

Love is more than the sorrow of parting
Much of the thrill of meeting
What is really treasured
Remains in the heart

Footprints you left behind
Sends my mind traveling
Reaching the misty mornings
Of unknown roads from a dream
Last time someone was there to bring me home

Love is more than the sorrow of parting
Much of the thrill of meeting
Turn light towards the sky
And light up the stars again, One by one

Go onward
Don't look back on the past
No matter how hard it gets
After a storm
Comes a rainbow.
