I Repent For My Wings

by The Wingless   Feb 28, 2006

I become apprehensive by being near you
It's not hard to sense your loneliness

Even for such a small person
There is unlimited power in the heart
You taught me that

Listen to the wind as we die
While I repent for my sins
And gain back my wings
Let's look up at the sky

The love that showers the world
Grows dim where I stand
For, there are some who take it for granted

Darkness blocks the path
But the crying has to stop
The light will be right here

I want to believe
That the sun never gives up
Never gives up on love
I repent for my wings.
