A poem to a friend

I'm writing you this poem
to let you know
that i truly am so sorry
for being that low
but i just cant do it anymore
its too much to bare
but i do want you to know
that i do still care
i do want to be your friend
but it's really hard to do
when trying to resist the feelings
i have for loving you
knowing you love someone else
and someone else loves you
make me think even harder
is this the RIGHT thing to do?
now i don't know how to say this
but Ive try to clear my mind
of all the thoughts of you and me
that i could only find
i destroyed almost all our notes
and i ruined your gift you gave me
but i wanted you out of my head so bad
do you get what I'm saying? do you see?
now once again I'm sorry
theres nothing i can do
to turn back time
is what i'd truly like to do
now i don't know if your crying
but if you are
wipe your tears
i have shedded enough for both of us
to last 10 thousand years
now ill finish up this poem
by saying maybe we can try once more
but i wont make no promises
because I'm tiring of feeling so sore
but maybe we can try
to just be FRIENDS
because how would we feel
if one of our life just ends?
