Master of Disguise

by Lauren G.   Mar 1, 2006

I am the master of disguise

beneath the skin

theres cuts and scrapes

but they are invisible

from the outside

if you look past my makeup

my painted on smile

theres a frown

and dried tear trails

that i try to hide

when i laugh

theres a voice you dont hear

it whispers my pain

but it is muted

Look deep and you will find

the happiness that seems

to sparkle in my eyes

replaced with a dull eyes

with tears ready

to spill over the edge

Beneath my costume

theres a heart

broken in pieces

ready to crumble

any minute

im the master of disguise

my true indentity is revealed

only when no ones around

i just hope one day

i wont need my disguise anymore.
